Palawan named the best island for the second time!

It’s official, Palawan’s Coron, El Nido and Puerto Princesa are the traveler’s top choice vacation destinations this year, 2015.

This is the second year that Palawan, as an island, received this title from Conde Naste Traveler Magazine. Last year, it came a huge surprise to us, Filipinos, that it bagged the prestigious title given by a world renowned travel magazine. Yes, we know how enchanting and enticing Palawan is, but the idea of being voted as the best in the world by travel enthusiasts from different countries around the globe didn’t cross our minds. And this year’s result only solidifies Palawan’s world status as the top choice travel destination, beating international vacation spots like the Maldives, British Virgin Island and even Bali of Indonesia.

Together with Boracay and Cebu, which are also part of the top 20 result, Palawan ended up the best after getting all the votes and comments from 128,000 travelers from different parts of the world. The island garnered an overall ranking of 85.937 and general comments like how tourists are mainly attracted to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.

Hotels and resorts in the Palawan, the island’s attraction which includes Coron’s big river, El Nido’s lovely beaches and Puerto Princesa’s underground river and Filipinos warm welcome and accommodation are the possible contributing factors that put the island in its present position.

Foreigners are all amazed with our country’s hidden treasures, we should be all proud of what we have and show the love and appreciation by finding time to visit the place and exploring the best of Palawan.
